Meeting Urgent Needs. Building Lasting Independence.
AOP offers Helping Hands When Life Gets Hard
Through emergency financial assistance, education, and resource access, AOP supports individuals and families in crisis while building pathways to long-term independence

The Problem
A missed paycheck, medical bill, or car repair can quickly lead to eviction risk, utility shutoffs, or food insecurity.
In 2023, about 39% of NJ households lived below the ALICE threshold (ALICE or poverty).

“I’m really grateful. As the sole provider for my family, I was doing everything I could—but it still wasn’t enough. I fell behind on rent and was at risk of losing our apartment. I was stressing every day, trying to figure it out. I didn’t have a plan and I was running out of time. I heard about AOP and just gave it a shot. They helped me catch up, and that was it—I didn’t lose my place. I could keep going and take care of my family. Thank you.
